Jac&Jill

Big City hottie-pop duo - headlining Six Flag’s Great Adventure’s (1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson) at 1 this afternoon – slays crushes with slinky Katy Perry-esque radio bubble gum that dips into the Disney Radio field. Free with admission to the park. All-ages.

Murphy’s Law

As the old adage goes, when push comes to shove, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong when these East Side punk-drunk debauchers crack open a case of miester chow at Championships Sports Bar and Grill (931 Chambers St., Trenton) at 6 tomorrow night and fire up a good ’ol fashion N.Y.C. hardcore pile on while shouting-out Care Bears and Cavity Creeps and singing songs about herb missions. Usually the floors – and fans - are soaked in beer by the time Jimmy Gestapo’s last leap into the crowd. Yeah, their wild antics are still that good. Ash Monday, Post No Bills, FreeDoom, The Down and Outs, One Good Reason and Barcode Youth, open. Tickets cost $15. 21-plus.

14 Points

“Problem Solver” - the ragga-rockers latest CD - takes the sunny-sided elements of Sublime and 311 in casting the ideal formula for a summer back-yard booze-fest. The Hamilton trio headline McGuinn’s Place (1781 Brunswick Pike, Lawrence) at 9 tomorrow night. Tickets cost $5. 21-plus.

Ape Up!

Boston punk bombers, who live up the “slug life” mantra while delivering a sloppy, Superchunk vibe, join local heroes The Great Explainer and The Ruining at the Mill Hill Basement (300 S. Broad St., Trenton) at 9 tomorrow night. Livingston, PJ Bond and Bearing round out the bill. Tickets cost $5. 21-plus.

The Swingin’ Neckbreakers

Tony Soprano’s favorite Trenton rockers open for Third Of Never at 8 tomorrow night at Asbury Lanes (209 4th Ave., Asbury Park). In a battle of garage-rock supremacy, The Grip Weeds are also on the bill. Tickets cost $10. 18-plus.

Charetta

New Yorkers radiate vampy nu gothic Lacuna Coil fans can sink their fangs into - headline Six Flags Great Adventure’s (1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson) Live & Local stage at 1 tomorrow. Aprils End and Redliner, open. Free with admission to the park. All-ages.

Black 47

The Irish rock legends get dizzy drunk like the Saw Doctors with spunk at the Stone Pony (913 Ocean Ave., Asbury Park) at 7 tomorrow night. Atley Moon & Steven Reilly, open. Tickets cost $17 in advance, $20 at the door. All-ages.

Vampire Weekend

The Ivy Leaguers - who have ties to the Garden State and hit it big on the summer festival scene in 2008 with its selft-titled debut and “Upper West Side Soweto,” Paul Simon-meets-Flaming Lips indie tickles - are finishing up its follow-up presumably hitting the streets in September. And that’s what makes their set at tomorrow’s All Points West Music & Arts Festival at Liberty State Park in Jersey City so intriguing. According to internet reports, the guys have five new tracks ready to go, and it’ll probably be at tomorrow’s festival – headlined by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jay-Z and MSTRKRFT – when they’ll hit fan’s ears for the first time. The three-day concert also includes sets from a wide range of acts from Tool to Coldplay, Kool Keith and Q-Tip. My Bloody Valentine, The Arctic Monkeys and Ting Tings play Saturday. Echo and the Bunnymen play on Sunday with Black Keys, MGMT and New Brunswick’s Gaslight Anthem. Single-day tickets cost $89. A three-day pass costs $239.  All-ages.

The Worst Is Yet to Come

Not sure what all those diabolical vocals gargles mean on “Feels Like Megan Fox,” but The Devils Wear Prada-styled thunder claps of this Lambertville metalcore outfit’s top MySpace pick might be a warning for David Silver to watch his back. Maybe he’ll have the Donna Martin posse in tow when the guys join Bloodshot, In Wake of the Plague, Total Ruination, Exhaling Decay, Sex With Rollercoasters, Fall To The Queen, Terminal Fate and Fire Down Below for an all-ages, hardcore throw down at Championships Sports Bar and Grill (931 Chambers St., Trenton) at noon Saturday. Tickets cost $10.

Gabriel The Marine

Long Island indie-pop drifters, who’ll jump off their tour with A Love Like Pi to play The All Call Inn (214 Weber Ave., Ewing) at 5 p.m. Saturday, rev-up the old emo engine by adding sprinkles of violin and piano to its lachrymose, Coldplay-meets-Saves The Day energy. Karma Bat, Goodbye Ect. and Studio Trip, open. Tickets cost $7. All-ages.

Take One Car

The Upstate New Yorker’s post-core mathematics, throat tirades, technical guitar drubs and vocal effects sway somewhere between Refused and At The Drive In. And it all boils over inside the Mill Hill Basement (300 S. Broad St., Trenton) at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $5. 21-plus.

Ptosis

Young head bangers from Nutley with old school ideals, and a little bit of Faith No More influences make for one shred of a time at Championships Sports Bar and Grill (931 Chambers St., Trenton) at 9 p.m. Saturday. Night headline. Exhaling Decay and Ollipeist, open.

Eryn Shewell

East Brunswick songbird’s country-pop swing - set to light up The Record Collector (358 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday - has this Sheryl Crow meets Sharon Jones feel. And it’s garnered her five Asbury Music Awards. Trenton’s Kelly Carvin & the Future, open. Tickets cost $10 in advance, $12 at the door. All-ages.

Vapor Child

Baby Zep-heads, whose kid-crusted Deep Purple and Dream Theater reinventions are totally darling, star at Six Flag’s Great Adventure’s (1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson) Live & Local stage 1 p.m. Sunday. Beyond Hope Lies, The Brewer Boys and Diablo Royale play, too. Free with admission to the park. All-ages.

Drive-By Bukkake

Boston sample-happy, slash-core stormtroopers – knocking neon off the walls of The All Call Inn (214 Weber Ave., Ewing) at 5 p.m. Sunday - ram bass-bastic brute-metal down your throat so hard you’ll end up playing tonsil hockey with your vintage Vans. Thrasher, Unmen, The Summoned, Impartial Dismemberment and The Adept round out the bill. Tickets cost $7. All-ages.

Burning Spear

The lauded Rasta selector preaches I-ity with his own blend of rebel music, at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Stone Pony Summer Stage (913 Ocean Ave., Asbury Park). Karmic Juggernaut and Level Vibes, open. Tickets cost $30 in advance, $35 at the door. All-ages.

Goodnight Sunrise

Montana wimp-rock-popsters shake it Metrostation-style - headline Six Flag’s Great Adventure’s (1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson) Live & Local stage at noon Tuesday with The Real You. Free with admission to the park. All-ages.

theSTART

L.A. beat-heavy, glam-rockers - playing The Record Collector (358 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with Normandie - have this modern Debbie Harry, Goldfrapp and Siouxsie Sioux flare to them complete with disco chimes, shimmering electro-pumps and a make-up smeared lead diva who’ll remind anyone in the know of Shirley Manson.  Tickets cost $10. All-ages.
